This system is a robust and automated 3D digitiser working on the basis of digital fringe projection in combination with photogrammetric evaluation. The object is illuminated from different directions using several mirrors, and data is captured with three cameras. The object itself is rotated by way of a motorised table. The advantage of the overall approach is that complex small parts can be accurately digitised with the data being automatically consolidated without manual matching or marking.
