Products	MD3D launch MD3D is a new, independent, customer-centred company specialising in Metrology Devices for 3D data capture, processing and modelling. The term “laser scanner” has become commonly used to describe systems that capture data points from the surface of an object, or from a scene. However, the range and diversity of these instruments is expanding rapidly; indeed many systems do not use lasers at all. Optical scanners, or “digitisers”, are already routinely employed for applications such as component reverse engineering and quality control, building surveying, recording of heritage sites, environment studies, waste management, tunnelling quality etc. And as the measurement technology develops apace then the applications and potential for these devices is also growing rapidly. Advice & Solutions MD3D offers advice and solutions to new and existing users of terrestrial digitisers. We are working with partners from across the globe in order to bring complementary systems under the one roof, for clients in the UK and across the whole of Europe. We also recommend and provide software for most post-processing and modelling tasks. Sales & Support Equipment sales and support is our key function, but our clients often need measurement services and specific deliverables. MD3D can recommend sources for service work that are most appropriate for your task. We are also seeing an increased need for more than one type of scanner to be used to complete certain types of work. We are looking to introduce an equipment hire service to meet the needs of our clients in the near future.
